Senior Metallurgist Technical Advisor

Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in-house agency and master vendor for KBR who are a leading global engineering, construction, and services company.

KBR support the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offer challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Metallurgist (Technical Advisor) on a 12 month+ contract based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

• Competitive hourly pay rate
• Outside IR35, highly likely so engagement via a Ltd Co.is permitted
• Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

Experience

Ideal candidates would be expected to have varied experience of process equipment applications in the onshore and offshore oil and gas project environment to include concept, front end engineering design, detailed design, commissioning, and operations.

Experience working with relevant international standards that are applicable to corrosion and materials selection with an understanding of non-metallic material selection preferable.

Job success will depend on interpersonal skills and the effective interaction with others. Selected personnel will be highly competent in written and spoken communication and therefore be able to make effective presentations and prepare reports.

Core Responsibilities :

• Perform corrosion evaluation and calculations using ECE and similar software
• Produce a material selection report and mark-ups of material selection diagrams
• Back check cadded material selection diagrams
• Perform material selection for piping and equipment items.
