We are currently looking for a Digital Services Program Lead at our Corporate Offices in Ajax, ON. This is a Hybrid role – Grade G.
Role Responsibilities
Digital & Connected Services for VW Canada
- Collaborate with Product Planning to assess and understand the product strategy tailored for Canada.
- Capture and communicate Connected Services product and business requirements across the user journey and customer touchpoints, ensuring alignment between Canadian market needs, VWoA and development teams.
- Ensure all features comply with Canadian laws through thorough legal reviews.
- Keep key stakeholders informed by reporting progress, issues, and risks.
- Partner with VWoA and Canadian business stakeholders to identify and implement technical and business changes that enhance the product and app.
- Stay ahead by understanding the competitive and technological landscape for Connected and Mobility Services.
- Support the development of Business Cases for new features and revenue‑generating subscription plans.
- Assist in budgeting for the upcoming fiscal year and monitor monthly to ensure fiscal alignment.
- Manage and maintain testing assets (Fleet Vehicles, Test Phones).
Serve as the Canadian representative, providing input and oversight on :
Digital Life Cycle Management development timelines for features and software releases.Supporting in‑market connected vehicle testing with North American Region (NAR) and Volkswagen AG (VWAG) Engineering teams.Overseeing software version release cycles and approvals.Reporting program progress, issues, and risks to all stakeholders.Foster Cross‑Departmental Collaboration
Align and Inform : Ensure all departments (Marketing, Product Planning, Product Support, After Sales, Controlling) are aware of and understand the changes to vehicles, dealers, and customers, and appreciate the impact on their areas.Create Resources : Assist in developing communications, best practice guides, training materials, and other tools to enhance understanding of the product and its features.Promote Connected Services
Engage and Inform : Actively promote the capabilities of Connected Services to both internal teams and external partners, ensuring everyone understands their benefits and potential.Educate Dealers : Improve dealer knowledge about the benefits of connected vehicles, including new features and functionalities.Boost Customer Adoption : In conjunction with Marketing, increase customer use of the myVW App and new vehicle features through targeted education and support.Support Digital Life Cycle Management
Ongoing Process Support : Aid in the continuous Digital Life Cycle Management process and customer‑facing communications to ensure a seamless experience.Over‑the‑Air (OTA) Updates
Capture Requirements : Ensure all business and legal requirements are documented and communicated to the development team for the OTA solution.Assist in Testing : Collaborate with the VWoA team to test the updates, ensuring they meet all necessary standards.Launch Campaigns : Work with VWoA and Canadian stakeholders to successfully launch Over‑the‑Air update campaigns.Communicate Progress : Regularly report on progress, issues, and risks to key stakeholders, keeping everyone informed and aligned.MyVW App For VW Canada
Oversee the product backlog for connected features, ensuring user stories are prioritized for implementation based on their impact and value.Collaborate with Team Members : Define, track, and test user stories for connected features, ensuring they meet quality standards and user needs.Support Ticketing Process : Prioritize and document the ticketing process for connected features, including prioritizing tasks and maintaining clear, detailed documentation.Reporting and Analysis : Support reporting and analysis efforts to track progress, identify issues, and inform decision‑making.Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.Minimum of 5 years experience in Connected or Mobility Services.Proficiency in MS Office, Tableau and other business intelligence tools.Strong Project Management skills – proven experience managing programs and medium to large scale projects.Strong relationship building and communication skills.Passion for or strong expertise with connected vehicles & IoT – a strong asset.Proficiency in designing data structures that enhance business intelligence capabilities.Ability to travel up to 25%.What You’ll Get In Return
