Senior GCP Data Engineer
We are looking for a highly skilled GCP Data Engineer to join a major Canadian Financial Services client. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Data Engineering principles and hands-on experience with GCP and its data tools.
You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines to support our data-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Automate monitoring tools to track system health and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Enhance code quality by identifying and fixing engineering flaws.
- Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services such as DataProc, Dataflow, CloudSQL, BigQuery, CloudSpanner in combination with third parties such as Spark, Apache Beam / composer, DBT, Cloud PubSub, Confluent Kafka, Cloud storage Cloud Functions & Github
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing. Evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our data infrastructure.
Continuously improve processes and workflows to drive operational excellence
Secrets management, thorough knowledge in tis certificates.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure as code (laC) principles.
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages like Python.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as, Google Cloud, AWS, Azure
