About the Client
A warm, funny, and determined 79-year-old woman recovering from a stroke (August 2025). She has a loving, hands-on family and an incredible will to improve. She enjoys conversation, humor, and participating actively in her daily rehab and activities. She is living with limited mobility and partial vision impairment. Her left arm and leg have limited movement, and her left-side vision is affected. She requires help to safely notice and use her left side, and all transfers or mobility must be assisted. She is able to stand or take a few guided steps during transfers, but primarily uses a wheelchair for mobility. Because of these challenges, she requires one-on-one care for transfers (uses a transfer pole).
