Developing and / ormanaging the implementation of an organizational improvement plan toidentify,analyze,plan,track andcontrolorganizationalimprovementsonacontinuousbasis
Makingrecommendationsandprovidingadviceforimprovementsandassistingindevelopingsolutionsandimplementingrecommendations
Collectingandanalyzinginformationandpresentingfindingsoncomplexissues,carryingoutorcoordinatingresearchasrequiredandpreparingreports
Definingandproducingbusinessrequirementdocument
Coachingonbusiness
Assistingstakeholders withunderstandingtheirstrategicgoals
Analyzingstakeholder'sbusinessobjectivesandrecommendinganddevelopingsolutionstoaddresstheir business problem
Implementing and evaluatingcross-functional decisions that will enable an organization toachieve its objectives
Assessingtheorganization'scapacity / capabilitytoundertakeandsuccessfullydeliveraninitiative orachange
Defining,developingandimplementingbusinessstrategiesandplans

OTHERTASKS

TheBusinessConsultantmustperformthefollowingtasksifrequiredbytheProjectAuthority :

Considerbestpracticesinothergovernmentdepartments;

EnsureconsistencywithGovernmentof Canadapolicyframeworksandinitiatives;

TakeintoaccounttheimpactsoftransformativeactivitieshappeningwithinDNDandtheGovernmentatlarge;

Engagerelevantpartiesasappropriateinthedevelopmentoffinalproducts;

Identify optionsforbusinessmodelsandidentify opportunitiestostrengthen,reform,andrealign duties tobuildstrength;

Proposerealignmentofrolesandresponsibilitiessoastomeettheneedsoftransformationwhileachievingtargetingresourcereductions;

Identifyriskstotheimplementationofproposals,together withriskmitigationstrategies;and

Developimplementationstrategieswhererequired.

Qualifications

Must clearly demonstrate that theproposedresourcehasbeentheChiefFinancialOfficer (CFO) forat least three (3) years in theGovernmentof Canada within the last ten (10)yearsandaCIOinthepublicorprivatesector withinthepastfifteen(15)years

Must clearly demonstrate that theproposed resource has a minimum of ten(10)yearsofexperienceinthelastfifteen(15)yearsproviding strategic advice and directionforfinancialorcorporatemanagementsystems to seniormanagementinthePublic Sector.

Mustclearlydemonstratethattheproposed resource has three (3) years ofexperience in the business transformationofSAP based financial systems withinthe lastten(10years)within the Governmentof Canada.

Must clearly demonstrate that theproposed resource has at least ten (10)years’experience within the last(15) years at theSeniorManagementlevelindevelopingabroadrange of processes and policies in anInformation Management / InformationTechnology / EnterpriseTransformation environment.
