Job Type and Location

Full-Time; Primary Office Location : Listowel. This position will require some shared time between Listowel and Granton, Ontario for training purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning and Analysis : Develop and oversee the company’s financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare and analyze accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Work closely with external accountants to generate review engagement year-end financial statements.
• Accounting : Prepare monthly adjusting entries in the company’s ERP system, Spire, including labour allocations, inventory release, accruals, intercompany, amortization, etc.
• Cash Flow Management : Monitor and manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and support business operations. Manage ongoing relationship with Avonbank’s banking partner.
• Internal Controls : Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
• Tax Compliance : Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and optimize the company’s tax position.
• Financial Systems Management : Oversee and enhance financial systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Team Leadership : Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Collaboration : Work closely with the Owner, Managers, and team members across departments to provide meaningful financial insights and contribute to effective decision-making.
