Job description

Location : Haliburton (Partnering Retirement Homes)

Pay Rate : $20.40 CAD per hour

Benefits :

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care aligned with residents individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and manage residents medication routines according to established protocols.
  • Monitor and assess residents health promptly reporting changes to the healthcare team.
  • Provide guidance and support to residents and their families regarding care plans and health management.
  • Oversee and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
  • Maintain professionalism while managing tasks such as light housekeeping and emotional support.
  • Implement Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) measures and proper PPE usage.
  • Document nursing interventions and resident progress accurately and on time.
  • Lead and collaborate with healthcare staff to promote a safe and respectful environment.

    • Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with valid RN certification.
  • Physically capable of performing nursing duties including lifting and transferring residents safely.
  • Availability for flexible shifts in a 24 / 7 operation including weekends and statutory holidays.
  • Excellent criticalthinking and problemsolving skills to adapt to dynamic care needs.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to support team operations and resident care.
  • Knowledge of healthcare technology for documentation and reporting.
  • Current CPR First Aid and any other relevant certifications.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Working Conditions
  • Every second weekend and statutory holiday availability required.
  • Physical activities such as standing walking lifting and transferring residents.
  • Occasional travel to partnering retirement homes in Halliburton.
  • Potential for overtime!
