INTRODUCTION TO ROLE

Stathera is looking for a Manager of Quality and Reliability to join the team. We encourage driven candidates with a technical background in semiconductor products qualification to apply to this position.

The successful candidate will earn an incredible experience in a fast-moving, collaborative, and high-performing Startup environment.

The Manager of Quality and Reliability will report directly to the Operations Manager and will be expected to a total of 40 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Oversee and approve qualification test plans for semiconductor MEMS products, ensuring alignment with customer and company standards.
  • Provide strategic direction and review reliability and qualification reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve product qualification issues and facilitate effective communication with internal technical teams.
  • Drive the NPI (New Product Introduction) process, ensuring successful qualification and timely resolution of failures through root cause analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 : 2015 standards by leading audits and driving quality assurance processes across the organization.
  • Establish and maintain best practices for a robust Quality Management System (QMS), including document control and internal procedures.
  • Manage supplier and customer audits, ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Define and prioritize actions to address and resolve quality issues, balancing customer needs and business objectives.
  • Mentor and guide staff on quality requirements, implementation strategies, and the implications of non-compliance.
  • Lead professional interactions with customers, demonstrating expertise and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Develop and oversee 8D reports to ensure effective problem resolution and process improvements.
  • Manage supplier quality programs, including PPAP, FMEA, Gauge R&R, and control plans, to support product commercialization.
  • Implement and monitor a Cost of Quality system, driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee Failure Analysis and RMA processes to minimize recurrence and enhance product reliability.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent with 7-10 years of Engineering work in the Semiconductor Industry
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with technical people;
  • Must have the ability to work across a variety of global time zones;
  • Experience in semiconductor reliability tests and various industry standards used in the semiconductor industry (e.g. AEC, JEDEC, ISO, RoHS, etc.);
  • Developed qualification plans for semiconductor products;
  • Experience with semiconductor failure analysis (FA) techniques;
  • Experience in running audits of internal practices and suppliers;
  • Understanding of the impact and the cost of failure;
  • Familiar with statistical data analysis (e.g. JMP);
  • Familiar with quality tools (e.g. 8D, fishbone diagram, 5 Whys, PPAP, PFMEA, etc.)

  • MEMS, assembly, and process experience
