Job descriptionMastery of various methods, techniques, and tools for business architecture, including but not limited to business functional modeling, service lifecycle modeling, business event modeling, business process mapping, and value chain analysis. Deep understanding of diverse business environments, with a focus on government settings, including familiarity with key business drivers in these contexts. Proven ability to identify and analyze business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Knowledge and experience in leveraging information technology to integrate solutions and identify IT-enabled opportunities that address business pressures and needs effectively. Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and consensus-building skills essential for effective stakeholder management and project execution. Demonstrated experience as a business architect, adept at modeling business structures at both enterprise and core business levels for medium to large organizations. Proficiency in the Zachman Framework, encompassing business, information, application, technology, and security architectures. Ability to advocate for and promote I&IT project management best practices, ensuring adherence to standard methodologies for successful project delivery. Proactive identification of potential risk events and issues, with the ability to develop mitigating strategies to circumvent challenges. Aptitude in articulating and prioritizing issues and risks at senior executive levels, recommending mitigation strategies, and employing effective change management strategies throughout project lifecycles. Experience working within public sector or large corporate environments, with an understanding of the unique challenges and constraints faced in these settings. Knowledge of information technology systems and infrastructure, with the ability to integrate IT solutions to address business needs. Understanding of data modeling principles and techniques, including entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs) and data flow diagrams. Experience in change management processes and practices, including strategies for overcoming resistance to change and driving adoption of new technologies and processes. Awareness of emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry like Cloud technologies, with the ability to assess their potential impact on business architecture and strategy. Experience in supporting business transformation initiatives by designing target operating models, defining transition states, and developing implementation roadmaps. Knowledge of architectural governance principles and practices, including ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Proficiency in frameworks such as the Zachman Framework, TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework), or other relevant frameworks. Hands-on experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables and artifacts, such as models, adhering to Enterprise Architecture processes and practice. Awareness of information security principles and best practices, including security architecture and compliance requirements. Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across different business units and levels. Experience in effectively managing stakeholders, including facilitating workshops, conducting interviews, and building consensus among diverse groups. Experience in supporting business transformation initiatives by designing target operating models, defining transition states, and developing implementation roadmaps. Experience in developing detailed implementation plans that outline the steps, resources, and timelines required to execute business architecture initiatives effectively. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively facilitate, negotiate, and build consensus. Proficiency in facilitating workshops, meetings, and focus groups to gather requirements, drive consensus, and foster collaboration among stakeholders with varying perspectives and interests. Strong negotiation skills to resolve conflicts, address competing priorities, and reach mutually beneficial agreements in cross-functional teams. Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and cultural awareness, to establish rapport, build trust, and foster effective communication with diverse stakeholders. Ability to prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and documentation that articulate business architecture concepts, strategies, and recommendations in a compelling and persuasive manner.
Job Description : Responsibilities :
- Utilize frameworks such as the Zachman Framework to design business, information, application, technology, and security architectures.
- Analyze information relevant to business architecture and conduct focus group workshops with stakeholders.
- Model business processes and capabilities at the enterprise and core business levels, including capability models and architectural solutions.
- Provide project management for large-scale, complex, and high-profile IT initiatives, ensuring adherence to standard methodologies.
- Ensure project deliverables meet clients' business requirements, budget, and timelines, while maintaining compliance with Government project management frameworks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and analyze business requirements, integrating IT-enabled opportunities to address business needs.
- Facilitate communication, negotiation, and consensus-building among diverse stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues throughout project lifecycles.
- Overcome resistance to change and capitalize on supportive forces at all project stages.
