Your primary responsibilities will include :
Compilation and review of client information and working paper file preparationYear-end planning for various clientsSupervising engagements and related tax filings within a paperless office environmentCompletion of assurance engagements with teams of 1 – 4 team membersIdentification of KPIs through technologyIdentifying and resolving engagement issuesTraining and mentoring junior staff on engagementsPreparation of Notice to Reader and Review Engagement reportsPreparation of personal tax returnsEnsuring the clients’ satisfaction with the firm’s servicesProviding timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectationsIdentifying and cultivating new service or tax planning opportunities for clientA successful candidate will have :
A college or university degree in Accounting, Finance or BusinessA minimum of 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or a similar finance roleCPA designation or in progress would be considered a strong assetExperience managing large engagementsTech savvy; proven technical skills in accountingIn-depth working knowledge of accounting and taxSound working knowledge of accounting principlesAdvanced accounting, tax, and software knowledge, i.e. : Tax Prep, CaseWare, Sage and QuickBooksAdvanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)As a Leader, you are an active listener, empathetic, and can share clear messages and make complex ideas easy to understand.
