Wood is seeking a Lead Civil Engineer to join ourMining & Minerals business group. Reporting to the Department Manager, Civil, Structural & Architectural, this position is located at our #Vancouver, BC, #Burlington, ON, or #Saskatoon, SK offices. This role has overall responsibility for delivering Civil Engineering services on our major projects. - Competitive salary with regular salary reviews to ensure we are rewarding at the right level in line with the market. Salary range for this position is CAD $135,000 - $187,000 per year. Final salary will be based on relevant and applicable experience, education, and the specific skill set and qualifications required for the role.

Expected :
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Civil Engineering with eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in Canada10-15 years of earthwork, buried and surface run utilities experienceTailings / slurry piping layout design experience is an assetAbility to work in a multi-disciplinary team environmentAbility to mentor junior engineers and design personnelExperience in storm water management, stormwater runoff calculations, sizing of ditches, culverts and pondsGood understanding of various coordinate systems and survey controlsExperience in interpreting and applying geotechnical design recommendations on civil designsExperience in interpreting geotechnical & hydrology reportsEngineering experience in private fire protection systemsExcellent organizational, technical, written and computer skillsKnowledge of general civil designs and an understanding of industry codes, standards and construction methodsExperience with Civil 3D software would be an assetAuthorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is requiredDesirable :
