OVERVIEW : Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, as a Flight Travel Coordinator, the role will be responsible for organizing and coordinating all aspects of travel arrangements for Staff, House Parent, Support & Respite Worker within our organization. Your role will involve ensuring that all travel arrangements are made efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with company policies and procedures. You will work closely with Staff, House Parent, Support & Respite Worker to ensure a smooth and hassle-free travel experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES :

  • Coordinate and book flight travel arrangements for Staff, House Parent, Support & Respite Worker including flights, and other necessary arrangements.
  • Distribute flight travel itineraries, including all relevant details such as flight information.
  • Ensure all travel arrangements are accurate, complete, and aligned with the operational needs of the organization.
  • Manage and track flight travel for no-shows and any freight overages.
  • Assist Staff, House Parent, Support & Respite Worker in resolving any travel-related issues or emergencies, including flight cancellations, etc.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all travel arrangements and documentation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with Staff, House Parent, Support & Respite Worker.
  • Ability to handle and resolve travel-related issues or emergencies promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information related to Staff, House Parent, Support & Respite Worker travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Grade 12 and proven work experience as a Flight Travel Coordinator, or a similar role in travel coordination.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, word processing (MS Word), Spreadsheets (Excel), E-mail (Outlook) and internet.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing travel arrangements and schedules.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with additional language skills being an advantage.
  • Satisfactory Child Abuse, Vulnerable Person check and Criminal Record check.
  • Ability to speak Ojibwa language will be considered an asset.
