Job Overview : We are looking for a highly skilled Information Management (Application Support) Specialist to support business processes within the Projects organization through effective information management and data analytics tools. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance software tools and web applications to support project management, engineering, construction, reporting, and document management functions. You will also assist in the technology selection process for the Projects Organization, ensuring seamless integration of data solutions that improve efficiency and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain in-house software tools and web applications to streamline project management, engineering, and reporting processes using technologies like SharePoint, Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
  • Provide technical support to end users and administer SharePoint sites, Power BI datasets, and other Microsoft Office tools used by the Projects Organization.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend additional software solutions, acting as a representative for the Projects Organization on enterprise software initiatives.
  • Assist in automating processes and tasks to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance overall project efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to track project performance, identify deficiencies, and provide actionable insights.
  • Use data analytics to generate reports and insights that support decision-making and improve project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to adapt and update existing software tools in response to evolving business needs and requirements.
  • Ensure consistency in data collection and reporting, providing senior management with reliable, data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Serve as a liaison with the internal IT department, ensuring seamless integration of information management tools and applications across various platforms (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Power BI, Bluebeam, etc.).

Scope & Focus :

This role is focused on continuous improvement and optimization of current information management and data analytics tools, ensuring that the Projects Organization has the most efficient and effective solutions in place for decision-making and project execution.

Working Conditions :

  • Open office environment with potential travel to project sites as needed.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks across stakeholders, often under tight deadlines and with competing priorities.
  • Qualifications & Skills :

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field, or equivalent professional certification.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint Administration and Power BI Analytics.
  • Experience with PowerApps and Power Automate for creating business solutions.
  • Familiarity with client-side SharePoint APIs (REST, SOAP) is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong ability to work independently and autonomously to develop, maintain, and deploy custom tools and web applications.
  • Experience developing data-driven tools and reporting products.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas projects, pipeline design, construction, or operations is an asset.
