We are actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Marketing Representative to oversee our midstream scheduling activities in support of our upstream operations. Reporting to the Team Lead, Crude Marketing, you will primarily be responsible for managing the transportation of crude oil via pipelines and trucks. Your main duties will include aggregating, quantifying and reviewing near-term production forecasts, submitting nominations, managing pipeline imbalances, tracking daily production volumes, and collaborating closely with Marketing and Marketing Accounting. You will play an essential role in a team that handles all commercial aspects of transporting oil to market.

Essential Functions :

  • Manage and schedule volumes from multiple pipelines and receipt locations.
  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships with shippers, producers, and pipeline companies.
  • Communicate daily with field operations and trucking regarding scheduled volume movements for safe and optimal operations.
  • Optimize system capacity and efficiency based on pipeline systems and market conditions.
  • Prepare and manage weekly and monthly shipper and producer documentation according to industry deadlines.
  • Maintain daily supply / demand balance and lease forecasts to plan around supply, markets, and pipeline disruptions.
  • Provide updates on positions and respond to unexpected events with contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Prepare, confirm, and submit weekly system inventory levels for Supply and Trading.
  • Undertake apportionment calculations to ensure accurate positions.
  • Provide front, mid & back-office Crude Oil marketing support, such as submitting Form ?A? volume forecasts, Notice of Shipments, monitoring & balancing positions, price reporting, netback analysis, assisting with revenue accruals, and administration.
  • Understand, track, and mitigate Force Majeures, cuts and curtailments.
  • Represent at industry functions and association meetings as required.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Engineering required.
  • 7+ years of marketing, scheduling and other industry experience required.
  • Experience with Petrinex, Open Invoice, Petrotranz and E-One is preferred.
  • Oil Marketing experience is required.
  • Strong attention to detail, proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Existing industry relationship with producers, trucking companies, pipeline operators etc. would be an asset.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Superior oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Motivated individual able to contribute both individually and as a team player with multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with crude oil scheduling on Enbridge Mainline, Canadian export pipelines, and US pipelines would be an asset.
