The Royal Brockville - Formally known as Brockville Mental Health Hospital is a specialized mental health hospital that forms part of The Royal, one of Eastern Ontario's leading mental health organizations. As a branch of the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group, the Brockville site provides clinically intensive, secure, and community-based mental health services supporting individuals with complex and persistent mental illness.

- Hours : 08 : 00-20 : 00 or 20 : 00-07 : 00 (Continental rotation 2 week nights, 2 week days)
- Overtime Method : Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
- Payrate : $19.50

Conduct proactive and reactive interior and exterior security patrols, including in inclement weatherRespond to incidents, remain calm in emergencies, and use effective conflict management and verbal de-escalation techniquesInvestigate routine incidents and complete clear, accurate incident and end-of-shift reportsEnforce parking, smoking, site by-laws, and all client and Paladin policies and proceduresLiaise with Paladin management and on-site staff to meet operational requirementsOperate independently and as part of a team to complete assigned dutiesSit or stand for up to 12 hours per shiftParticipate in ongoing training and development as directedAdditional duties as assignedQualifications
Authorized to legally work in CanadaValid Ontario Security Guard LicenseValid Ontario G class driving licenseValid First Aid & CPR Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)Ability to be clean shaven for an N95 Mask Fit TestProof of minimum two COVID-19 vaccinesA copy of immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Hepatitis B and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)Fluency in English (verbal / written); Fluency in French is an assetAbility to perform physically demanding tasks (extensive patrolling, restraints, etc.)6+ months previous security experience preferredMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into PCertification Requirements
