Reporting to the Construction Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following :
- Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
- Deliver outstanding guest service at all points of contact and through various communication channels
- Assist skilled trades persons in performing construction activities at residential, commercial, and agricultural construction sites
- Load and unload materials, move materials to work areas
- Assist with erecting and dismantling of forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades
- Operate and maintain various power tools; tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps
- Remove rubble and other debris at job sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment
- Follow company policies and procedures related to safety and asset protection
- Perform all other duties as assigned

Who you are :
You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and Customer Service :
- You have knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health & Safety)
- You have an eye for quality control / assurance and safety from start to finish
- You are able to read and interpret blueprints and have knowledge of building codes and regulations
- You must be physically fit, willing to learn, and are driven to excel in your position
- You must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- You are willing to obtain the required safety tickets; valid first aid, Fall protection, Aerial lift, and Telehandler certification is an asset
- A carpentry certificate or any of the levels of carpentry technical / apprenticeship process or provincial Journeyperson status is an asset
- You are well organized and able to work independently and with supervision
- You are honesty and trustworthy, are results-oriented, attentive to detail and strive to be the best in what you do
- You can lift, load, carry and hold products extensive physical labour typical of residential and commercial construction site is required
- You have knowledge of methods, tools and equipment used in carpentry
- You have a flexible work schedule including weekends
- You are available for intermittent day travel and intermittent overnight travel
