• Bachelor of Education with specialization in elementary and / or middle school education;
• Recent experience teaching in an elementary / middle school classroom;
• Experience with place-based teaching
• Experience with formative assessment strategies in emergent literacy, literacy at grade level and foundational numeracy;
• Understanding of, and experience delivering early learning pedagogy is an asset;
• Experience differentiating and adapting teaching, learning and assessment in classrooms with a wide range of abilities;
• Experience integrating self-regulation and social-emotional care practices in the classroom is an asset.
• Experience with integrating land-based learning into all aspects of curriculum
