About the Role : The Senior Project Manager acts as the key relationship manager responsible for maintaining and enhancing client and resource relationships. At Alexa Translations, our partnerships are typically long-term, and the primary focus is on managing existing client relationships while continuously striving to improve the overall client experience. The Senior Project Manager enables his team members to successfully manage their respective projects and serves as the escalation point and subject matter expert for any questions or guidance. Additionally, they act as the primary coordinator between their team and other departments within Alexa. Responsibilities : Everything we do in project management is viewed through the lens of delivering an exceptional customer experience. To achieve this, the Senior Project Manager is fully responsible for the entire lifecycle of the client experience for all projects within their area. Project Planning : The smooth execution of a project largely depends on thorough planning and ensuring that all stakeholders are in full agreement regarding the process, budget, timelines, deliverables, and the agreed-upon method of communication throughout the project and between project cycles. For a project manager in the translation business, educating the client is an integral part of the process. Careful planning and selection of all resources are crucial to delivering the project on time and within budget. Execution : The Senior Project Manager oversees the execution of both their own projects and those managed by team members. They are ultimately responsible for keeping all stakeholders informed and aligned regarding timelines, details, and any necessary coordination throughout the execution phase. Project completion and follow-up Upon successful completion and delivery of the project, the Senior Project Manager ensures that follow-up calls are made with the involved stakeholders. Client Relationship For recurring and / or contracted clients, the Senior Project Manager is fully responsible for maintaining relationships with the clients and all requesters. Once again, the Senior Project Manager ensures that all preparation, agreements, and planning are completed well in advance of the project execution phase. Managerial responsibilities : The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of the team (Project Managers and Project Coordinators) working with them. They also play an integral role in improving and developing processes, and we expect a Senior Project Manager to consistently bring an innovative perspective on how things can be improved to deliver an even better experience for all parties involved. As part of the managerial core responsibilities, the Senior Project Manager will be : Supporting the Project Managers and Project Coordinators with project challenges (e.g., project issues, client concerns, resource selection, etc.). Proactively solving problems to prevent client issues. Ensuring client concerns are addressed and QA evaluations are conducted when necessary, using the process improvement steps outlined above. Training new team members assigned to your team. Motivating your team to perform in alignment with company goals and those of the Linguistic Operations department. Leading by example to maintain the company culture and ensure the morale of the team and its partners remains high, with everyone feeling motivated and appreciated. Requirements : College diploma, university degree, or equivalent. 5+ years of experience in Localization Project Management, managing complex projects. Project management certification (PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, etc.) Bilingual (English / French) is a mandatory requirement. Experience in the technical, communications, or SaaS industry. Proven experience in managing relationships with middle and senior managers in client / partner interactions. Extensive in managing teams, coordinating across multiple departments, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong decision-making abilities, with a focus on data-driven, impactful decisions that benefit both the project and the organization. Ability to build relationships and maintain communication with various stakeholders, ensuring that expectations are met and managed. Capable of handling conflicts within teams or with clients while maintaining professionalism and project alignment.
