Position Overview

The Process Engineering and Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the CANDU fuel assembly manufacturing facility. The position reports directly to the Peterborough Plant Manager and leads the Process Owners / Engineering and Maintenance Technician teams, focusing on optimizing production processes, enhancing equipment reliability, and maintaining compliance with nuclear industry standards. By fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and collaboration, the Process and Maintenance Manager ensures that plant operations meet quality, safety, and performance objectives.

Your Day to Day :

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage a diverse team of Process Engineers and Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance Technicians, fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and collaboration.
• Establish goals and design training programs that enhance team performance by improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), efficiency, quality, and safety, while minimizing scrap and downtime.
• Provide leadership in quality program adherence from the Process Engineering and Technician teams.
• Conduct performance evaluations, provide mentorship, and support the career growth of team members.
• Perform strategic reviews of the teams current and future skills while working to develop the team skillset to fill observed gaps.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $89,000 and $139,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and / or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
