Maintenance Manager

Our client, located in Langley, BC, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Manager to join their expanding team to ensure the regular maintenance and repairs of all manufacturing equipment is kept to a high standard with minimum disruption to production.

As a strong communicator you will provide leadership training and guidance to an established team of 10-15 senior and junior maintenance technicians.
Your passion for driving operational excellence will play a key part : ensuring everything works to OEM status and maintaining the highest safety standards and immaculate work environment to enable the company to reach its goals.
Key responsibilities :
- Assess equipment and propose improvements for maintenance of the equipment. Ensure OEM status is always met.
- Oversee building maintenance; maintaining detailed schedule to keep the building in presentable tour ready condition
- Maintain professionalism, and high standards of safety and work environment always
- Liaise with Technical Manger to make relevant changes to procedures and policies, and to reduce manufacturing costs.
- Effectively lead your team : mentor staff, oversee activities, and encourage development
- Work closely with all Managers to monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of the plant
Skills and experience required :
- Solid experience within a manufacturing facility plus proven experience within a leadership / supervisory role
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology
- Fantastic communication skills, ability to build strong relationships and effectively lead a team
- An autonomous problem solver with strong organisational skills and great attention to detail
- A flexible multi-tasker, you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to tight deadlines and maintain high standards at all times
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office
- Red Seal Millwright Certification would be preferred
Location - Based in Langley, BC, Canada
Remuneration - CA$115,000 CA$125,000, plus full extended benefits that include a bonus of 10-15%, healthcare and an RSP.
