Database Developer MS SQL Server

LOCATION : TORONTO

Job Description :

Analyze highly complex business requirements generate technical specifications to create data pipelines for applications

Create templates for data file pre-processing parsing and transforming.

Leverage industry and client best practices to design test implement and support a solution

Review code changes for applications

Perform unit testing of the application

Support integration testing and quality assurance

Debug end to end application flow for any errors and perform causal analysis.

Mentor less experienced developersTrainees

Have Daily sync-up call with offshore team and resolving any issues and supporting them

Assist with creating standards and architecting new client solutions

Work with other teams in integrating the components and running end to end flow

Essential Skill :

At least 5 years of experience in data development andor relevant tools

Expertise in MS SQL Server and its tools

Advanced level knowledge on RDBMS and SQL.

Proficient with Stored Procedures Functions.

Hands on knowledge on DTS or SSIS.

Proficient with various data formats (XML csv fixed-length record delimited)

Working knowledge of GitLab CICD and artifactory

Understanding of Sorting bundling and data aggregation

Ability to provide accurate time resource and dependency estimates for MS SQL projects based on the business requirements.

Knowledge of Banking document development lifecycle (data processing)

Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills

Banking and Financial Domain knowledge (Statements Canadian Taxes Cheque Processing)

Ability to work individually with other teams for integrating the components into the workflow.

Work with offshore counter-part and team and resolve any issues
