This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Responsibilities
The Business Architect will be responsible for supporting the portfolio's vision to re-imagine healthcare data and interoperability capabilities, fostering a more connected healthcare system, and promoting a citizen-centered, digital-first mindset. The Business Architect will support the Digital Excellence in Health digital and transformation strategy, roadmap, and change management, working closely with stakeholders and teams to deliver business outcomes across a complex stakeholder landscape. The Business Architect will design business and operating models to achieve its strategic vision and build transformative capabilities.
Key responsibilities include :
o Analyze existing business and operating models to identify areas for innovation and transformation.
o Develop and implement innovative business models aligned with Ontario Health's strategic goals.
o Collaborate with partners to ensure successful adoption of new business models.
o Evaluate digital and data services for cost-effectiveness and value for money.
o Monitor and report on financial performance and resource utilization to align with budget constraints.
o Assess current processes to identify modernization opportunities.
o Define and implement new processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
o Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to guide modernization efforts.
o Develop and enforce standards for data and interoperability for OH.
o Design and implement streamlined processes.
o Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
o Advocate for a customer-centered approach in all digital initiatives.
o Design solutions to enhance user experience and satisfaction.
o Gather and incorporate feedback from users to continuously improve digital services.
Qualifications
o 3-5 years’ experience in conducting digital and data-related value stream analyses, documenting "as is" and "to be" processes, and aligning them with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, SNOMED CT).
o 3-5 years’ experience in developing and implementing operating models with a focus on governance, engagement, and alignment with interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and clinical data governance practices.
o 5-7 years’ experience in business architecture methods and tools, such as business process mapping, capability modeling, and value stream analysis, with a focus on digital health, interoperability, and clinical data governance.
o Proven ability to manage partnerships and lead cross-functional teams in delivering business architecture and governance solutions aligned with healthcare interoperability and data standards.
