YOUTH COUNSELLOR – I (Full Time - Overnights in Red Deer, AB)

We are guided by the principles of developing capacity with an emphasis on effective coping skills, making meaning of one’s experiences and an ability to form healthy relationships. We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to fill the following position.

YOUTH COUNSELLOR – I (Full Time - Overnights)

The Youth Worker is the primary worker with young people and is a contributing member of a team providing service to young people. This available position will be for the overnight shifts (11 : 30pm – 8 : 00am) from Sunday to Thursday each week.

Qualifications

• A diploma or undergraduate degree in Human Services such as Child and Youth Care, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or a related field.
• Experience in working with young people preferred. - Must have current Standard First Aid / Level C CPR, PIC, IRC, Valid Driver’s License, and Driver’s Abstract.

Responsibilities

Annual salary range for this position is $36,764 - 46,811 - placement on union salary grid based on education and years of relevant experience. There is an additional shift differential paid on hours worked on overnight shifts.
