Airport Maintenance Person Split position

Position Overview :

Applications are invited for the Seasonal Winter position of Airport Maintenance Person in the Public Works Department. This roleperforms activities necessary to provide operational and structural maintenance and support to the Airfield the Airport grounds buildings and facilities.

This position runs from October1 until April 30 and may be extended depending on operational requirements. Training would start as soon as position would work full time hours for the Airports winter season. Once initial training is complete at the Airport the incumbent will transfer to the Sign Shop in Public works for summer shifts. This position is split between the Airport operation for the winter and the Sign Shop operation for the summer.

Required Qualifications :

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Must possess Power Mobile Equipment theory training.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Drivers License relevant to airport equipment type. (Minimum Class 5 A)
• Must possess and maintain an Industry Canada - Restricted Operator Certificate Aeronautical. (Radio Licence)
• Must possess and maintain an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP).
