Overview
Be among the first to apply for a permanent, full-time Accountant role in Milton, Ontario. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Trust Accounting or Fund Accounting, QuickBooks, and Excel, and will work in a corporate environment. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Perform bank, credit card, and (if applicable) trust reconciliations
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Generate monthly and year-end financial reports
- Assist with payroll coordination and HST filings
- Ensure accounting records are audit-ready and accurately maintained
- Support the external accountants with working papers and financial data
- Recommend improvements to financial workflows and internal processes
- Use Excel for tracking, analysis, and reporting tasks
Qualifications
3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in a corporate or business environmentMust have fund accounting or trust accountingExperience in the legal industry is an assetAdvanced QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience is mandatoryStrong Excel skills – pivot tables, formulas, reconciliationsAbility to work independently with minimal training or supervisionExcellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skillsBonus : Experience with trust accounting or estate-related bookkeepingBenefits
