The Role : As an RN in the Coronary Care Unit, you will provide specialized and compassionate care to patients with severe cardiac conditions. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to monitor patient status, administer treatments, and manage emergencies, ensuring high-quality care and support.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver high-quality care to patients with severe cardiac conditions, including administering medications and performing advanced interventions.
- Continuously monitor patient vitals and cardiac health, making timely assessments and adjustments to care as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Respond effectively to cardiac emergencies and critical situations, providing prompt and accurate interventions.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, and patient progress.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit operations.
Requirements :
Current, unrestricted RN license.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Coronary Care setting.Expertise in cardiac monitoring, advanced cardiac care, and emergency response.BLS and ACLS certifications required.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Please note that we are exclusively recruiting people who can legally work in Canada.
