Junior Project Manager : Procom KW is seeking a Junior Project Manager for a contract role with one our clients in the financial sector.

Junior Project Manager Job Details

As a Junior Project Manager, you will manage small team projects, with low risk using Agile Scrum, Kanban or following SDLC according to the standard processes defined by the clients Project Management Office (PMO).

Junior Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Completes project charters and ensures sign off
  • Coordinates meetings
  • Works with team to update and track project budgets
  • Prepares detailed project plans
  • Takes detailed meeting minutes from meetings to delegate and drive successful resolution
  • Manages actions, issues, and risk across the project’s lifecycle as required
  • Develops additional project specific presentations and status reports
  • Support facilitation on larger projects for a variety of meetings, work closely with the Program and Delivery Directors, as well as other Senior Project Managers and Scrum Masters.
  • Observes and suggests continuous improvements to the planning and portfolio management processes

Junior Project Manager Must Have Skills

  • University or College diploma / degree
  • 2 years of project management experience supporting medium to large technical / business project environments
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification
  • Exposure to Agile and understanding of SCRUM and / or Kanban

    • Junior Project Manager Nice to Have Skills

  • Capable of managing small independent IT projects with clear, stable requirements
  • Understands the critical path and ensures controls are in place to monitor if tasks are being completed as planned
  • An understanding of the risk management process and able to recognize and escalate risks and issues appropriately
  • Demonstrate a personal sense of urgency about solving problems and getting work completed
  • Ability to easily build rapport with others, including team members, peers, and executives
  • Proficient in the use of scheduling tools such as MS Project and JIRA
  • Skilled at the Microsoft Office suite of products (word, excel and Visio)
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
