We are seeking a Operations Supervisor to provide outstanding leadership to Mechanical tradespeople to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the Westcoast System, within Gas Transmission and Midstream (GTM).

As a Member of the Transmission South Operations Management Team and reporting to the Manager of Operations, this position will lead and support safe, reliable, and efficient operations for Compressor Stations located in the T- South area.

What You Will Do :

Responsible for leadership of unionized employees to ensure our facilities are operated in a safe, reliable and efficient manner, aligned with all regulatory and corporate standards and programs.

Ensures relationships are maintained with all internal and external customers while applying Enbridge Core Values, and GTM Key Priorities.

Ensure all required maintenance is implemented per plan at compressor stations, including annual outages and projects.

Provide day to day supervision of operations employees, including coordination of orientation, training and development, operator training qualification, scheduling, coaching and mentoring.

Lead and support compressor stations performance monitoring and optimization.

Provide Leadership mentorship that is consistent with our key leadership proficiencies, and priorities, provide direction to front line employees on crafting employee objectives that provide expectations and accountability, as well as day to day leadership priorities.

Ensures that a high level of Emergency Response capabilities is available at all times, assist in the organization, preparation and execution of emergency response.

Ensures that all company policies and procedures are adhered to in the area.

Ensures that operations are conducted in a manner improving efficiency, throughput and product quality.

Ensures that operating and capital budgets are maintained and expenditures kept within approved budgets and financial objectives set forth by the company are met.

Who You Are :

Technical diploma with a recognized trades certification, engineering degree or 10 years of proven experience in Gas Transmission / Pipeline Operations.

4th Class Power Engineer Certificate with Technical Safety (BC) or ability to acquire it within 6 months.

Unwavering dedication to providing a safe, incident-free work environment.

Experience with managing budgets, meeting deadlines and maintenance management systems.

Previous experience leading effective change programs.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and partners.

Strong digital literacy including Microsoft Office Suite, and Maximo.

Ability to handle critical information with discretion, integrity, and a high degree of confidentiality.

Standout colleague who is willing to continually and proactively collaborate, share, and seek information in a team-oriented environment.

A valid drivers’ license.

Preferred :

Positive track record as a people leader.

Emergency Response training and knowledge.

Extensive knowledge of effective maintenance practices (preventative, reparative, predictive, condition based, etc).

Working Conditions :

Occasionally required to work long hours on short notice.

Travel to field locations for emergencies, training, and regional meetings, including face-to-face with employees.

Office setting (70%).

Field setting (30%).

Rotational on-call responsibilities.
