Job Summary

This position will be responsible for selling a vast product portfolio that includes large format LCD displays, projectors, collaboration displays, digital signage, desktop monitors, and Direct View LED.

This position is responsible for reseller and end-user business within the province of Ontario.

The incumbent’s main objective will be to deepen relationships with the major channel partners in the region, including sales reps, design engineers, sales engineers, marketing managers, and executives.

They will also be expected to identify and develop new resellers in the territory as well as create new end-user opportunities in various key vertical markets.

A key factor of success in this role will be knowing who the key channel partners in the region are and developing those relationships.

Knowing which end-user verticals and accounts to prospect in, as well as knowing the competitive landscape in the territory and have an understanding of other key factors that make the territory unique are also essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities :

Working with various internal departments, develop unique activities to grow the business and awareness within the channel partner.

Develop relationships with Sharp’s strategic business partners and end users to formulate strategies that identify and grow sales.

Support and participate in local distributor / reseller shows and events.

Work closely with local distributor reps to develop net new reseller business while also keeping them informed of product roadmaps and pricing changes.

Deepen relationships with the major channel partners in the territory, including Pro AV, IT, and Digital Signage resellers.

Train Partner salespeople on Sharp products and promotions

Work in tandem with Sharp sales engineers and business development representatives to educate the consultant community on new Sharp products.

Learn, understand, and be able to articulate Sharp’s value proposition with key channels and end-user accounts by becoming an expert on Sharp technology.

Track sales efforts in Salesforce, continually update notes and dates and prepare monthly forecast reports.

Work alongside another RSM to jointly cover all sales responsibilities in Ontario.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience selling in the Pro AV and IT channel; digital signage display, projector sales, and Direct View LED experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales of a manufacturer’s full product line through channel partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including sales and presentation skills are essential.
  • Post secondary education in Business or equivalent work experience is an asset.
  • Must have the ability to work independently.
  • Must be a self starter.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other customer relationship management (CRM) tools is an asset.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
