Harmac Pacific is located in Nanaimo, B.C. Our primary business is operating the Harmac Pacific pulp mill which is renowned for its production of world class quality NBSK pulp.

We have an opportunity for welders to participate in our maintenance shutdown from March 16-29, 2026.  The schedule will be 10 hrs / day for the duration of the maintenance period.  Compensation will be $55.64 / hour, as per our collective agreement. For those who qualify, a LOA allowance of $200 / day, inclusive of mileage, meals and accommodation for the duration of the 2026 shutdown.

Requirements :

• Red Seal trade certification
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience working safely in an industrial environment
• You are an independent self-starter, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, you are highly organized and adaptable to changes in the work environment.
• Along with your qualifications, you will be a proven team player who is excited about contributing to the business. We value initiative and the willingness to work with others to move our business forward.
