About Our ClientOur client, located in Toronto, is seeking an
Accounting Analyst to join their team for a short-term contract.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, the Accounting Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Analyze expenses for accuracy
- Track project expenditures to budget and investigate variances
- Provide analysis on trends, activity, and significant transactions
- Prepare month-end journal entries related to the project
- Prepare month-end reconciliations
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding project expenditures
- Prepare supporting documents for annual and interim audits
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance/Business
- Must have 2+ years of financial analysis experience
- Strong Excel skills are required
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain attention to detail in an environment requiring flexibility and adaptability
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
