The Tŝilhqotin National Government (TNG) is the official First Nations government serving the Tŝilhqotin Nation. TNG is located in Williams Lake British Columbia and serves six communities including ʔEsdilagh Tŝideldel Yuneŝitin Tletinqox Xeni Gwetin and Tlesqox.
The Chiefs Assistant will provide support to the Chief of Tlesqox and the Negotiations Team with clerical communications and administrative details pertaining to the Negotiations with Federal and Provincial Governments.

Key Responsibilities
- Performing general clerical duties including but not limited to : minute taking tracking action items Chiefs schedule management updating Outlook contacts maintaining files drafting letters and emails
- Preparing updates communication materials and other means of communication to update community members on Community Consultation Meetings Chief and Council meetings and other Negotiations work as necessary (i.e. newsletter submissions flyers for meetings etc.)
- Provide administrative and logistic support as required for holding Community Consultation Meetings and Chief and Council meetings in communities (i.e. arranging locations caterers and meeting notices to Tŝilhqotin citizens)
- Supporting Chiefs schedules which may include expenses reimbursement requests.
- Seeking and compiling community research and baseline information
- Create and modify documents as requested
- Travel arrangements including expense form preparations for leadership
Requirements
Excellent verbal and superior writing and report presentation skills are essentialMinimum of 3 years experience supporting a senior position in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of professionalism and demonstrated ability to handle confidential information accordingly is crucial in this roleAbility and willingness to travelValid BC Drivers License and regular access to a reliable vehicleWorking Conditions
