Job description

Our client, a rapidly growing unionized food processing company located in Brampton, ON, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking for a stable, long-term career with significant growth potential.

The Production Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing refining and packaging operations, ensuring smooth workflow, compliance with health and safety standards, and fostering a productive work environment.

Production Supervisor Details :

  • Salary : $75K-$85K based on qualifications
  • Bonus (Up to 7.5%)
  • Hours : Monday-Friday, Two-week rotating shifts (6 : 30am-2 : 30pm, 2 : 30pm-10 : 30pm, 10 : 30pm-6 : 30am)
  • Benefits from Day 1

  • 3 weeks vacation

Production Supervisor Responsibilities :

  • Supervise refining and packaging operations, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with safety standards.
  • Oversee equipment performance, maintenance, and track production data.
  • Enforce food safety practices (GMPs, HACCP), ensure accurate traceability logs and reports.
  • Lead training, recruitment, and employee development; manage HR documents and payroll.
  • Address employee issues, maintain positive relations, and ensure workplace safety.
  • Collaborate across departments (procurement, logistics, maintenance, etc.) to optimize operations.
  • Support KPI tracking and identify opportunities for improvements in production processes.
  • Production Supervisor Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of production supervisory experience in food processing.
  • Experience supervising a team within a unionized environment required.
  • Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and compliance standards.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Experience with ADP, ERP systems, and MS Office.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
