Role Summary
Agrocrop Exports Ltd. is seeking an Inbound Material & Logistics Team Lead to guide and support our logistics team in delivering smooth, efficient operations. In this role, you’ll oversee daily workloads, ensure proper procedures are followed, and identify opportunities to improve workflows and team efficiency. You’ll mentor and train team members, provide guidance on special adjustments when needed, and coordinate key inventory, warehousing, and transportation activities to keep operations running seamlessly while minimizing costs. You’ll also work closely with Procurement, Planning, Regulatory, and Quality Control teams to support new product and vendor development, while occasionally assisting with clerical support for inbound and outbound logistics. This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys leadership, problem-solving, and making a tangible impact on operations.
This position reports to Senior Supply Chain Manager, and currently oversees two direct reports.
What you will be doing?
- Providing regular guidance to team members and ensure that all customers inquiries are properly handled on time and in the most efficient manner feasible to satisfy them.
- Improving operational procedures to make service quality more convenient for both colleagues, vendors and customers.
- Providing detailed statistical input on teammates’ productivity to managers for goals of staff assessment and incentive.
- Provide training and support to staff members experiencing performance challenges to help them improve their skills and job effectiveness.
- Step in to assist team members in managing challenging vendors and resolving related issues effectively
- Distributing diverse customer service responsibilities to the team to participate in a faster and better operating flow.
- Develop and maintain work procedures, operational guidelines, and processes to enhance the organization’s service delivery
- Managing the schedule efficiently to maximize workflow
- Keeping track of incoming and outgoing products, or materials
- Keeping detailed spreadsheets of the workflow (past, current, and future)
- Creating PO in the system and send the orders to vendors
- Working with Finance to release payment
Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Inventory ManagementMin. 3 years of expertise in a similar roleStrong knowledge of customs regulationsExtensive experience in freight forwarding and logistics documentation across Ground, Air, Intermodal, and Ocean modesStrong knowledge of vendor and order managementProven experience in leading others and demonstrating strong leadership skills to guide team membersHave a calm demeanor when dealing with conflicts and emergenciesWorking knowledge of MS Suite – especially in Excel and ERP systemsExperience with MS Dynamics 365 BC is an assetManufacturing experience is an assetWhat are we looking for?

Salary Range : CA$65,000.00 - CA$75,000.00 per year
