Maintenance Technician / Millwright | $35-$45

Job Title- Maintenance Technician

Location- Markham, ONAre you a licensed Millwright (443A) or experienced Maintenance Technician with a knack for troubleshooting and a passion for keeping production running smoothly? We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring machinery, equipment, and facilities operate safely and efficiently. You’ll perform preventive and corrective maintenance, install and commission electromechanical systems, and quickly respond to service calls to minimize downtime. This role also involves interpreting technical drawings, coordinating with internal teams and external specialists, and implementing safety improvements. Qualifications, Education & Experience

Valid Millwright 443A license

Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed Millwright or Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment (packaging industry experience preferred).

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or mechanical training is an asset.

Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical systems; electrical troubleshooting experience is an asset.

Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.

Ability to read and understand machine drawings and technical blueprints.

Strong time management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of exercising sound judgment in decision-making

Physically fit, methodical, and efficient in approach.

Flexibility to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled shifts.
