REGISTERED NURSE - OBSTETRICS

As a Traveling Registered Nurse , you will have the unique opportunity to work in various healthcare settings across different cities and provinces.

Your exceptional nursing skills and compassionate care will be utilized to deliver high-quality medical services to diverse patient populations.

You will be essential to our team, ensuring patients receive the utmost care and attention during their medical journey.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Monitor and assess the health of pregnant women throughout their pregnancy.
  • Support and educate expectant mothers on prenatal care, birthing options, and postpartum care.
  • Assist with labour and delivery procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of both mother and baby.
  • Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Participate in patient and family education to promote a smooth postpartum-care transition.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families during labour and delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with your provincial governing body.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent Canadian experience in Obstetrics.
  • BLS, NRP, FHS and PALS certifications (additional certifications may be required based on specific assignments).
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle a variety of medical cases.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments and travel schedules.
  • A passion for travel, learning, and experiencing new cultures.
  • Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per provincial Immunization Policy.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check.

Requirements
