What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Lead accident and incident investigations, identifying lessons learned and preventive actions
- Develop and manage safety programs to reduce personal injuries and vehicle accidents
- Conduct periodic safety and compliance audits for branches and customer sites
- Provide training programs to enhance safety practices and promote safety consciousness
What is Required (Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five years of safety experience in an industrial or distribution setting
- Thorough knowledge of DOT and OSHA rules and regulations
- Familiarity with Canadian HSEQ and Transport Canada rules and regulations
- Proficient in Google Suite
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
- Previous experience with welding-related products
- CSP/CRSP or related safety certifications
