As an important member of the Red Bull Convenience & Gas (C&G) team, the Senior National Account Manager (Sr. NAM) plays a crucial role in driving the company's sales strategy and executing its initiatives across national key account chains (KA). The Sr. NAM is a master of their craft, and expertly influences the execution of national and regional programs through their ability to build productive relationships with local decision-makers (DMs).

The Sr. NAM is a visionary leader, responsible for owning national key account budgets, maximizing market share and sales volume, and driving growth through the development of innovative solutions that simultaneously align with customer needs and achieve Red Bull's goals. The Sr. NAM is also a mentor and coach, providing guidance and support to the Regional Account Manager.

Job Description

MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL KEY ACCOUNTS

Consistently enhance and elevate Red Bull's position within assigned KA.

Identifies gaps within National and Regional key accounts and creates actionable plans to address them.

Implements strategic sales tactics in line with Red Bull's vision, utilizing both best practices and available tools.

Develops promotional schedules in accordance with national goals.

Follows HQ recommendations for priority package distribution to achieve optimal distribution.

Accompanies all promotions with effective POS and incremental displays to achieve maximum results.

Customizes sales pitches to meet account goals and drive permanent displays.

Analyzes ROI before recommending specific POS or customized solutions.

Ensures that all assigned key account adhere to Red Bull standards.

Adapts presentations to effectively target customer needs.

Presents Red Bull's 4P strategy and standards in a way that resonates with the customer's needs.

MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF BOTH LOCAL AND NATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Actively cultivates strong relationships with key decision-makers through regular business reviews, effective communication, and other channels.

Seeks out opportunities to form connections and build relationships within KA beyond the buyer level.

Drives the successful execution of account programs by working closely with DM.

Continually seeks out opportunities for incremental growth beyond the scope of existing programs.

Maintains an in-depth knowledge of each assigned account and tracks important updates and information.

BUDGETS / ANNUAL PLANNING

Creates annual Customer Marketing Agreements and effectively manages associated funds for all designated KA on a weekly and monthly basis.

BUSINESS ANALYSIS

Collaborates closely with Category Analyst and finance teams to assess the ROI of 'pay-for-space' agreements in an effort to optimize investment and enhance account performance.

Leads the post-promotion analysis process to evaluate the effectiveness of promotions and identify areas for improvement.

BUSINESS REVIEWS

Conduct regular quarterly business reviews with assigned key accounts to effectively evaluate performance and identify areas of opportunity for growth.

Proactively and effectively showcases key examples of Red Bull's marketing activities in an effort to highlight key differentiators and ultimately gain a competitive edge in the market.

Provides valuable Energy Insights to key accounts, offering key metrics and analytics to inform successful promotional strategies, pricing models, and visual displays.

COMMUNICATION WITH FIELD TEAMS

Uses appropriate communication processes to keep Field Teams informed of Key Account programs and initiatives.

Routinely visits Field Teams to ensure personal contact and open lines of communication.

Qualifications

3+ years of sales experience in an account management capacity (or equivalent category management experience) with a strong track record of success, preferably in beverage and CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industries.

Strong analytical skills and experience using internal and external data sources (i.e. Nielsen, IRI).

In-depth knowledge of beverage industry.

Knowledge of regional and National C&G KA operation, an asset.

Creative, solution-oriented mindset.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Previous experience with SAP preferred.

Bilingual (English / French) is required.

Bachelor’s Degree required preferred.
