Job Description and Responsibilities

The Phosphate Operator in our manufacturing process is responsible for operating, monitoring, loading and unloading an automated process that put a protective coating on threaded couplings. The couplings are manually loaded from a pallet onto racks that moves them through a series of tanks of heated solutions before the couplings are manually unloaded back on to a pallet. After new hire orientation and on-the-job training, the Phosphate Operator will be expected to be able to work within the company's safety and quality protocol, independently transport product to their workstation, set up and maintain the phosphate and water treatment processes, operate the line, visually inspect the product for appropriate coating and defects, maintain traceability of product, and transport the finished product to the next process.

  • Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
  • Work in support of the Vision, Mission and Objectives
  • Follow the pertinent quality system procedures and policies
  • Maintain phosphate tanks at required chemical and temperature levels
  • Ensure proper water treatment discharge is in accordance with legislation
  • Physically able to lift weights up to 80 lbs
  • Continuous grasping, lifting, bending and twisting
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics
  • Accountable to make improvements or corrections in line with the performance measures relative to the goals of the plant operations
  • Coordinate and lead the operation's workforce to ensure safe work practices and product quality standards are met
  • Routine and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Forklift Operation

Requirements

  • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent education will be considered
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Trades or Engineering, or a combination of both education and industry experience will be strongly considered
  • Preferred Assets : Experience in operating equipment and being mechanically inclined
  • Demonstration of proficiency with computer systems to include Microsoft Office will be considered
  • Will constantly and consistently push self and others to be top performers and exceed goals
  • Will use logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions
  • Is widely trusted and can present the truth in an appropriate and helpful manner
  • Able to provide the information people need to know to do their jobs and make accurate decisions
  • Compensation

    Starting probation rate for this role is $29.00 per hour for 90 days.
