Paint / Quality Control Technician

We’re looking for a hands-on Paint & Quality Control Technician to join our manufacturing team in Milton! This unique role blends custom paint production with laboratory-based quality control, ensuring our products meet exact color, performance, and compliance standards. All applicants must have experience in manufacturing asphaltic and cementitious products.

– Work a convenient day shift : Monday to Friday 7 : 30am to 4pm

Responsibilities include :

– Mix small to large batches of acrylic-based paints using raw liquid and solid materials

– Match custom colours by eye and using color-matching software

– Operate blending, mixing, and material-handling equipment (including forklift)

– Perform quality testing on dry and wet products, including coatings, grouts, sealers, and asphaltic materials

– Document test results, investigate variances, and support audits and certifications

– Label, package, and prepare finished products for shipment

Requirements :

– Technical diploma in Chemistry, Engineering, Science, or related field

– Proven experience with color matching by eye

– Comfort working with chemical formulas, lab testing, and manufacturing equipment

– Previous experience with verifying solids content, liquid densities and viscosities

– Experience in manufacturing asphaltic and cementitious products

– Forklift certification and experience

– Ability to lift heavy items repetitively

– Strong attention to detail and ability to work in varying temperatures
