Job Title : Millwright (Tier Automotive)

Our client in York Region, ON is actively looking for a Millwright (Tier Automotive) to join their team.
Position Description :
- Maintain and service a variety of industrial machinery including presses, rolling mills, molding machines, and other production-related equipment.
- Perform regular repairs and lubrication on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Disassemble and relocate machinery and equipment when necessary to support production or facility changes.
- Install mechanical systems and components such as conveyors, drive shafts, and associated equipment.
- Secure equipment to foundations or structures using bolts, welding, rivets, or other fastening methods.
- Operate standard tool room machinery and equipment to support maintenance and fabrication tasks.
- Carry out welding and fabrication work as needed for equipment repairs or upgrades.
- Be available for overtime and willing to assist with urgent tasks in response to production or customer needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper cleanup of tools and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Clearly communicate any equipment issues or maintenance concerns to supervisors or managers in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills in both verbal and written English.
- Apply basic math skills, including the ability to calculate ratios and percentages relevant to mechanical work.
- Understand and follow WHMIS / GHS safety protocols.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong organizational habits.
- Follow all workplace standards, procedures, and policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
- Perform duties in line with quality and environmental standards, including IATF , BOS procedures, and ISO .
- Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives and support team-based problem-solving.
- Adhere to S principles to maintain a clean and efficient working environment.
- Participate in required training based on internal training schedules.
- Carry out all tasks safely and responsibly, ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Perform any other duties or special projects as requested by management.
Skills & Qualifications :
Must have Millwright certificateMust have certificate from college or technical school; or five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Able to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresExcellent knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical processesAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete situations related to mechanical / maintenance issuesAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule formPhysically fit and able to lift up to lbs.Overhead crane licenseForklift licenseTier automotive manufacturing experienceIf you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume.
