Job Title : Operations Manager - Security

Location : Surrey

Position Type : Full-Time

Work Model : Hybrid (Remote, Office and On-Site)

Salary : $57,000 - $61,000 per year (includes car allowance)

Other Benefits : Fuel allowance (non-taxable) + performance-based bonuses

About The Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, Operations Manager, you will lead and oversee security operations for a portfolio of clients across the Vancouver Region. This is a mid-level management role that combines office-based leadership with hands-on engagement at client sites. You will manage a team of security professionals, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and maintain strong client relationships.

This role is ideal for a proactive, experienced security operations manager looking to step into a position where they can drive operational excellence, influence strategy, and grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership : Lead and oversee daily security operations across multiple client sites, ensuring staffing levels meet client needs and operational standards.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve security protocols, emergency response plans, and operational efficiencies to enhance client satisfaction and safety.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and performance reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and client expectations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to site management teams, fostering leadership and accountability.
• Team & Client Management : Supervise, coach, and develop a team of security professionals to maintain high performance and operational excellence across sites.
• Actively participate in recruitment and staffing decisions to ensure each client site is appropriately resourced.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively addressing concerns, and serving as a trusted advisor on security operations.
• Lead client meetings, presenting operational reports, site insights, and recommendations to enhance service delivery.
• Financial & Strategic Oversight : Drive contract profitability and client retention by ensuring operations performance aligns with financial goals.
• Support branch budget planning, monitor expenses and implement strategies to optimize operational costs.
• Business Development & Growth : Identify and pursue new opportunities in the Vancouver security market to expand client base and service offerings.
• Partner with sales teams to support proposals, provide operational insights, and help secure new contracts.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging security needs to inform strategic growth and maintain a competitive edge.
• Represent the company at industry events and functions to enhance brand visibility and identify new business opportunities.
