We are currently hiring certified level 1-2 water and wastewater operators for full-time positions. Candidates must have at least level 1 WT and WWT certifications and a valid class 5 driver’s license. The primary location for this role is in Morley, Alberta . Travelling to various job sites may be required.
As a WT&WWT operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of water treatment facilities, while working with a small team under supervision. This position includes working on a shift (10 days on / 4 days off, Tuesday through to the following Thursday).
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Coordination of technical service projects (8 guys, 2 trucks, millwrights-plumbers-electricians-drivers) ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Serving as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and contractors, facilitating communication, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues to ensure client satisfaction.Collaboration with internal teams, including operations and sales, client needs assessment, development of project plans, and allocation of resources effectively to meet project requirements.Preparation project proposals, cost estimates, and technical specifications in collaboration with the engineering team, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.Monitoring of the project progress, tracking key milestones, and providing regular updates to stakeholders, identifying and addressing any deviations from the project plan to mitigate risks and ensure project success.Conducting site visits and inspections as needed to assess project conditions, verifying compliance with technical specifications, and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise during project execution.Maintenance of accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and reports, using project management software and tools to track project performance and facilitate decision-making.Integration of tools to improve efficiency (procurement, scheduling, quotation, etc.)Mandatory Requirements
Minimum level 1 certification in WT, WWT, WWC, WDS or higher (proof required)Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract (proof required)Ability to lift up to 35 kgs (77 lbs)Mechanical skills : proficiency with hand and power toolsCertificates in H2S, First Aid, Confined Space, TDG (an asset)Strong problem-solving abilitiesEffective written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Benefits
