Job descriptionPerform analyses on samples and complex sample preparation Follow SOPs to ensure accuracy and quality of work Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data Approve data generated (Level I validation) for which the analyst has been trained and validated If required, validate data at Level II Sign the reports Generate reports with results and fax to the client Understand and troubleshoot analyses Provide input to corrective action procedures Ensure that deadlines are met Recommend SOP revisions Ensure instruments and equipment are appropriately maintained Use summary reports to plan and organize work Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations Keep work area clean, neat and organized Contribute to daily and weekly planning Provide input to performance management Coordinate laboratory projects Implement and validate existing methods Write SOPs Follow up on contaminations and interferences with the laboratory Question results Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or team leader B Sc. Biology or Microbiology (or MIFI equivalency) Minimum of 2 years of experience in an environmental laboratory Strong knowledge in ecotoxicology Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good record‑keeping skills and attention to detail Dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook Work schedule : day / evening and every second Saturday or Sunday Available for overtime (1–2 h / day) from May to December (high season) Fast‑paced and dynamic environment Required to be on feet for long hours Status : Full time, 37.5 h / week
