Mountain Orthodontics, part of Canadian Orthodontic Partners, provides support services to a national network of community‑based clinics. We are looking for a talented Treatment Coordinator to join our Squamish, BC team, delivering personalized orthodontic treatment and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Welcome new patients with a friendly and enthusiastic approachTake / facilitate necessary radiographs and photos for consultations and observation patientsReview health history with patient and / or guardianRecord any history of trauma, pre‑medication requirements, and any other relevant informationResearch any recorded medication, describe the purpose and note any orthodontic contraindication for the orthodontistDetermine patient and parents’ chief concerns and treatment goalsSummarize patient information for the doctor (e.g., age, reason for appointment, dental and health history, chief complaint, etc.) – see new patient process for full detailsIntroduce the orthodontist to the familyAssist with the orthodontist’s examination and data collectionRecord data quickly, concisely, and accuratelyListen to the conversation between patient and doctor and take appropriate notesGenerate correspondence from initial consultation and recall examinations for the referring dentistReview treatment plans with patient when the orthodontist leaves the roomShow the patient the appliance available for their treatmentDescribe upcoming appointments to the patient and / or familyUse available tools to illustrate the treatment plan (videos, PowerPoint, pictures, etc.)Review all financial informationPrint financial contract and review investment with patient and / or familyWork with patient and / or responsible party to find a payment option that works for themComplete contract and review informed consent (if applicable)Schedule records / start appointmentReview insurance breakdown and provide insurance forms if applicableAnswer final questions and escort patient to the doorCommunicate “Ask Fors” to inquire if any other family member or friend wishes a no‑charge consultationInform and advise patients and families of any office promotions or marketing objectivesIn downtime, complete pending calls and confirmation callsMonitor recall programAct as liaison between the doctor and the patientAct as liaison between the doctor and any other dental specialist or general practitionerComplete monthly analyticsMaintain a positive attitude for service excellence while working cohesively with team membersProvide any other tasks delegated or assigned by the orthodontist or leadership teamRequirements
1 year of front office dental experience considered an assetExperience as a treatment coordinator considered an assetComputer proficiency and ability to learn new programs, including Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge and experience with dental treatment plans and insurance requirements preferredCertified Level 2 dental assistant an assetClinical background considered an assetKnowledge and understanding of oral treatment plans and ability to educate patientsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal, ability to make patients feel comfortable and at easeSeniority Level
