Job descriptionDetails: External Posting #25/26-220E - Relief Learning Support Worker Fort St. James Secondary 5.75 hours per day, 5 days per week Relief position starting as soon as possible until the regular employee returns Summary: Works with school and district staff to foster and develop the individual student's potential under the direction of the teacher and other related professionals Provides assistance to teachers and other professionals in the delivery of regular or alternate programs with a group or individual students Functions as an advocate for the students and as a member of the school-based team where required Qualifications: Completion of Grade 12 (Dogwood Certificate) Completion of an Education Assistant Certificate program BC driver’s license - Class 5 Full Privileged and an exemplary driving record/current driver's abstract 6 months of experience working with children/youth who have intellectual/behavioral or multiple disabilities WHMIS 2015 Certificate and familiarity with WorkSafeBC safety procedures **Please note, the rate of pay above is based on a Certified Learning Support Worker.
