Job description

7shifts is an all-in-one team management software platform designed for the restaurant industry. We're used by 1 in 15 restaurant workers and over 40,000 restaurants across North America. Our mission is to simplify Team Management and improve performance for restaurants, with a long-term vision of reimagining hiring for hospitality through our network of restaurants and hospitality professionals.

As the Product Lead for team management, you will be dedicated to transforming the way restaurateurs manage their employees, equipping them to create and retain exceptional teams. You will shape our product strategy for team management and lead your team of four product managers to execute on that strategy, overseeing how their squads collectively drive forward our product goals, ensuring they have the context, skills, resources, and alignment needed to be successful.

We are looking for an experienced product leader, equal parts passionate about building valuable products and developing skilled product managers who feel fulfilled in their roles and empowered to make the best decisions for our business and users. What you'll do :

  • Manage a team of high-performing product managers to meet the dynamic needs of a hyper-growth company
  • Lead the strategy development across your team, ensuring that the problems solved by each individual squad clearly ladder up to our broader product goals and strategy
  • Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across the org to support the success of your team
  • Actively coach and develop product managers based on their individual needs, supporting their career growth and maintaining a high bar for performance
  • Support a strong product practice and ensure we have the right processes in place to enable cross functional squads to collaborate effectively to drive impact

What you bring :

  • Past experience as a Product Manager, in SaaS, including experience directly leading product managers
  • A track record of bringing out the best in others and enabling them to do their most impactful work
  • Strong relationship building capabilities and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • The ability to break down complex concepts so that they're simple, clear, and human
  • Experience in tech companies where customer insights and deep data analysis are key
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a bias toward action
