Civil Engineer

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our client, a fast-growing innovative engineering firm in Richmond providing services to the electric utility industry.

In this role, you’ll receive hands-on experience in civil and structural engineering for transmission and distribution projects , working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team while contributing to impactful BC Hydro projects & utility infrastructure. Responsibilities :

• Support civil and structural design for distribution and transmission projects, including underground structures, fieldwork, calculations, layouts, material lists, and work instructions.
• Coordinate with internal teams, geotechnical engineers, and client reviewers to ensure designs meet standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, reports, tender documents, and project calculations.
• Assist with project support activities, including coordination, strategic planning, and client support.
• Conduct site visits as required and interface with other engineering disciplines.
