PRODUCTION ASSEMBLER

Job Description

Our client is a manufacturer of mobile shower commode chairs, and they are currently looking to hire for Production Assemblers.

Location : Victoria Park & Railside (North York, ON)

Shift : Monday to Friday 7am to 3 : pm

Pay Range : per hour.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Attend daily assembly meeting at start of shift
  • Assemble parts, components or products to the required specifications using hand tools and small power tools such as electric drills / ratchet / drivers
  • Read and follow diagrams, assembly drawings, bills of materials and other written instructions
  • Identify defective parts and complete documentation as required
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the assembled work meets company’s quality standards
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping work station organized
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts as required
  • Comply with Health and Safety Policies and Procedures including PPE and COVID protocols
  • Adhere Follow all Company policies and procedures
  • Adhere to Other duties as required

Physical demands and abilities :

  • Regularly lift and / or move objects weighing under 1 and up to lbs
  • Frequently required to stand / walk / stoop (a posture in which the head and shoulders are bent forward and downward) over a eight hour period
  • Possess manual dexterity to consistently assemble parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
  • Occasionally lift and / or move objects that weigh up to lbs with assistance from co-workers as company policy
  • Ability to work under deadlines
  • Requirements

    Qualifications :

  • Minimum of High school, higher education is preferred.
  • Read and follow diagrams, assembly drawings, bills of materials and other written instructions.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
  • Must be able to use hand tools and small power tools such as electric drills / ratchet / drivers to assemble small and large parts.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to function with and without distinct work instructions.
  • Ability to work alone and with others in a team environment.
  • Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Must be comfortable with heavy lifting up to lbs.
  • Must have production assembly in fast paced environment.
