Employment Term : Full Time Contract from May 4, 2026 - August 21, 2026

Position Reports To : Media Technology Manager

Number of Vacancies : 1

The starting hourly rate for this position is between $21.50 and $24.00 per hour based on a 37.5 hour work week and commensurate with candidate experience and education. Summer at Perimeter is busy and we need your help. We have summer student positions available throughout the Institute, running from May 4, 2026 to August 21, 2026.

The Media Technology (audio / visual) team is busy over the summer supporting and recording the many events and conferences that take place at Perimeter. Working closely with the Media Technology team, the Media Technology Summer Student will play an important role in ensuring Perimeter employees, students and visitors receive the best support during their conferences and seminars, gaining hands-on experience in various elements of media production.

What you will do :

• Record and produce high-quality video content for various platforms and audiences using best-of-breed technologies
• Support Perimeter residents and visitors with video conferencing and presentation technology
• Work with other Technology Service department units to ensure appropriate delivery of IT end-user support
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and technologies
